A few quick updates, but first, as always, join us on
The Gauntlet Discord server! The Gauntlet is the best place to chat about the game and the campaign, as well as to get sneak peeks of what we have coming up!
New Deluxe Pledge Tiers!
We opened up three new Deluxe Pledge Tiers! The first, HMS Chimaera ($600), gets you all the stuff at the Hargrave House tier, plus Wes Franks, author of Unsinkable (and expert Keeper) will run an online 2-shot of The Between for you and three friends. The second is Resplendent ($1000), which also gets you everything at the HH tier, plus Alex Rybitski, co-host of The Darkened Threshold podcast, will run a 4-session online game for you and three friends. Finally, Brathwaite Hall ($8000) features FOUR copies of everything, shipped anywhere in the world for FREE, plus Jason Cordova, creator The Between (and one of the most seasoned GMs in the industry) will run an entire online campaign of The Between for you and three friends. Obviously, these tiers are for super-fans (especially that last one), but for the right group, it's going to be a really fantastic experience (and the Chimaera and Resplendent tiers are actually a pretty good deal). Jason promises that whoever gets the Brathwaite Hall spot will have a gaming experience they will remember for the rest of their lives (and will be able to look back on because it will be recorded).
The Shrouded London Writing Contest - Writer's Workshop
The Shrouded London Writing Contest is ongoing, we've already received numerous entries! Here's a link to the

The Between, will be hosting a writer's workshop this Sunday at 11 AM Eastern for contest participants. Check the contest details for more information (or find the writing contest channel on Discord).
Online Character Keeper
Something we like to do in The Gauntlet is create these excellent online character keepers for our games. The character keeper for
The Between has guided character creation, a place to track your hunters and Threats, rules references, the Unscenes, and much more. It's a very robust tool for online play, one that we use every day in The Gauntlet. Find it

The Clockwork Cuttery is nearly unlocked!
We're sooo close to unlocking The Clockwork Cuttery. Just a few hundred more dollars. We have another exciting new achievement just waiting to be revealed whenever we cross this threshold. The Martian Unlocked and The Informals Revealed!

Speaking of achievements...
The Informals are now revealed!
Our $215K achievement is a really exciting one: The Informals! From the campaign page:
"We’ll add a new playbook to Shadow Society: The Informals! The Informals is the first troupe-style playbook for The Between, meaning when you choose this playbook, you’ll be playing multiple characters at once! The Hargrave House Informals are a group of street people who assist the hunters with their investigations. Each phase, you pick which Informal you want to use: Elsie Willow, a canny woman of the night; Kip Longfellow, a resourceful street urchin; Silas Gren, a butcher who has… seen things; Velma Thenwicket, a well-connected governess; Pig’s Ear, the most talented pickpocket in London; Brother Samuel, a disgraced vicar; Barrel Staves, an absolute unit; and one you create on your own. Each member of the Informals has their own special talents and resources they bring to the investigation, as well as a secret shame that haunts them. While the Informals don’t live in Hargrave House, they are connected to one hunter, their Benefactor, with whom they have a special rapport, and who allows them to access new abilities.
We almost forgot one thing: the Informals are each doomed. Throughout the campaign, they will be gruesomely murdered, one-by-one, by an unseen serial killer. The hunters will have to answer a Question related to the killings, the answer of which might see the serial killer joining Hargrave House themselves! What will Hargrave House do when they have an infamous murderer lurking within their walls?"
(Tl;dr: It's the Baker Street Irregulars meets Jack the Ripper)

The Between, and we're so thankful to those of you who have helped us reach this milestone by backing the project and helping spread the word.
To celebrate 2,000 backers, we've added some stuff from
Shadow Society to the
Preview Folder, including The Legacy, The Beast, and The Spidersilk Seamstress!

Extraordinary Mode

Alright, folks, with The Seven Mummers of Seven Dials now unlocked, and the new achievement revealed, we are officially in Extraordinary Mode! We'll explain that in a bit, but first: join us on
the Gauntlet Discord server! As ever, it is the absolute best place to discuss
The Between, and maybe even find a game to play in (also: we've shared a preview of The Martian there, so join the server and pick it up!)
Extraordinary Mode
In The Gauntlet, some people play
The Between in a way that is less about sexy, dark Gothic horror, and more about pulp-y, science fiction/fantasy adventure. That style of play is informally called Extraordinary Mode (because it's less
Penny Dreadful and more
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Our next three achievements, if unlocked and added to the book, will let anyone play the game in this style. The Martian at $175K adds a Superman-style space orphan to Hargrave House. The Clockwork Cuttery at $185K is a Threat with dangerous automata. And, most of all, at $200K Gesod, High Imperator of Venus will descend on London in his luxurious space frigate, Resplendent. When combined with things we've already unlocked like Mean Times in Greenwich, The Facsimile, and The Monochromatic Men of Three Mills Island, you can easily do an entire campaign in Extraordinary Mode, or combine them to make a fun, mixed-genre campaign (which is actually a little closer to what
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen actually is).
So let's put on our jetpacks and get these achievements unlocked! Please tell everyone you know about this campaign. It helps us a lot when you talk to people about why this game excites you.
