Last Chance for The Between RPG!

This is our last update before the campaign ends, and it's directed at folks who are still on the fence about backing The Between. If you're thinking about getting this game at any point in the future, here are a few reasons to do so now.

This is the best price the books will ever be. The retail price of each book is expected to be $45 USD, and The Gauntlet famously never puts its books on sale. You can get the books now at a significantly lower price ($30 per book in the case of the highest pledge tier).

For international backers, this is the best price shipping will ever be. We have done the hard work figuring out the logistics to make international shipping reasonably affordable and customs-friendly. But that's only for crowdfunding. Post-crowdfunding, we don't keep any books in the non-U.S. warehouses, and so the shipping rockets back up.

You get all the PDFs, even if you only pledge for a single physical book. In the future, you're only entitled to the PDF of the physical book you buy.

We have unlocked The Informals playbook! The Informals, along with the other 19 achievements we've unlocked, will be made available to everyone who backs the project.

We know a lot of you will be talking about The Between online and with your friends this week, and so we want to give you some resources and talking points to help you out. 19 Stretch Goals unlocked, 2500+ backers, and over 2000% funded
These are all great talking points, especially for folks who might have looked at the campaign during its early days, but haven't otherwise been following along. This game has grown a lot from what we originally pitched on Day 1. The unlocked stretch goals (achievements) are a particularly great reason to bump up your pledge if you pledged at one of the lower tiers, since the second book, Shadow Society, will have so much more inside of it now.
An amazing deal on international (non-U.S.) shipping
We have managed to get the cost of international shipping down to a level you almost never see on crowdfunding projects like this. Furthermore, the price includes any VAT, and shipping is customs-friendly. The international shipping won't be as competitive post-fulfillment, and so the best time for international customers to get The Between is right now.
You're getting SO. MUCH. GAME for your money
You're essentially getting 4 games: The Between, The Between: Ghosts of El Paso, The Between: Unsinkable, and The Between: Court of Wolves. The core game can be played for multiple campaign arcs, and the other three can be played for one campaign arc each (it's approximately 120 3-hour sessions of gameplay). Blood & Coal, if unlocked, will add another 15 or so sessions of gameplay.
Someone on our server did the math, and if we unlock every remaining achievement, this is what you're getting for your pledge:

- 38 playbooks
- 79 Threats
- 10 Masterminds
- 125 Unscenes
We don't think you should ever measure art by how much "value" it has, but this is undeniably a lot of incredibly high quality gaming for your money.

The 2021 edition of The Between can be read (and played!) right now, for FREE. It's linked at the top of the campaign page.

Maybe you're trying to convince three of your friends to get that deluxe, $8,000 pledge spot that comes with a full online campaign run by Jason Cordova, the creator of the game. Maybe explain to them that, divided up, it's only $2K per person. It comes with four copies of everything (including Mastermind dice), plus free shipping anywhere in the world, and so if they were going to already get the books, it's only $1850 for the full online campaign arc (approximately 15 3-hour sessions).
